The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. At the moment we're looking for a Guest Experience Leader to join our team at Holiday Inn® in Dubai Festival City!
The Guest Experience Leader works under the general direction of the Front Office Manager, and within the limited of established IHG and local hotel policies and procedures, provides supportive functional assistance to all departments and interacts with guests and members of the community. Coordinates with all departments in the hotel, promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of the winning ways and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
Additional Key Responsibilities Are
Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
Handles daily Front Office operations and ensures Guest Experience Specialists duties are hassle free so they can focus on providing great service to guests
Covers Hotel Duty Managers in their absence including night shifts
Handles overbooking situations ensuring the inventory in balanced
Ensures that team achieves IHG Enrollment target
Responsible of GES performance and development plans
Updates LPU and ensure guests receive their IHG Rewards points on time
Monitors Valet manning and drive way operations
Supervises front office operations during assigned shift including:
Maintenance of guest information
Maintenance of information about local events
Compiles occupancy statistics
Supervises guest’s preferences and ensure guests receive their entitlements as per Brand Standard
Supervises group bookings and billing, attending GIS meetings
Rooms allocation
Assigns team member breaks
Handles glitches during their shift, recording, updating guests profiles and QEMS
Assists with serious complaints following ILEAD
Supervises cashiering activities during shift including:
Cash handling and banking procedure
Deals with irregular payments
Instructs staff in credit policies and facilities
Instructs staff in cash security procedures
Carries out debtor control
Prepares reports
Supervises the cashiering system
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:
Required Qualifications
Good command of written/spoken English
Communication skills
Preferably holds a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality
Minimum 1 year previous experience in Front Office
Works collaboratively within the department and embraces change
Able to lead and develop a team of people
